Mi 11 – The Movie Magic smartphone

The technology leader from Mainland China has launched its all-round flagship mobile device the Mi 11. The phone to be first in the market with the Snapdragon’s latest 888 chipset and an unbelievable 2K AMOLED display. Along with 108 MP camera and sound by Harman Kardon. Let’s deep dive into the details now.

1.Design

Starting with the design, we find a beautiful fluid 6.81” 2K Quad curve AMOLED display (that’s a pretty long name for a display though) and an iPhone 12 like camera square bump at the back housing 3 cameras and a flash light. What else makes it elegant to look and feel in hands is that, all this is packed in an 8.06 mm phone. There’s a single front camera with a top-left corner punch hole design. The phone has two speakers for stereo sound powered by Harman Kardon both on the top and the base. The finger print scanner in this one is In-Display and also support heart rate monitoring, now that’s pretty cool new thing.

2.Display

This is the talk of the hour with DisplayMate A+ rating, the massive 6.81” AMOLED display is quad curved and 2K, yes IT’S 2K, i.e. 3200×1440 resolution which is WQHD+. The peak brightness can reach amazing 1500 nits, viewing in sunlight is definitely not an issue here. The refresh rate supported by the phone is 120 Hz which is amazing as to complement this it also has an insanely high touch sampling rate of 480 Hz. On the protection front the Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus the latest by Corning is used, so users can say goodbye to screen protectors and cases and enjoy using the ultra slim phone as it is.

3.Processor

This Mi 11 marks the entry of the Snapdragon’s 888 to the market, the latest, fastest chipset by Qualcomm. It is a 5nm based chip, ultra tiny one. It houses a Ultra large core Arm Cortex – X1 which offers maximum performance, and highest power efficiency with the new A78 along it. The chipset supports the latest 5G standards. The speed is amazing as it houses a LPDDR5 RAM at 3200 MHz and UFS 3.1 storage, so best in all departments. For all this power to function at its prime, there is VC LiquidCool technology to keep the temperature low, even with heavy load.

4.Cameras

The highlight from the camera department is the 108 MP 8K camera. It has a 1/1.33” large image sensor, resulting in the ultimate level of the ultra-clear images. With, the pixel-binning technology in use by Mi, it captures marvelous images without compromising on the visual quality using 4-in-1 1.6μm large pixels, also in low light.

The other two cameras are the 123° ultra-wide-angle camera and 50mm telephoto macro lens. These add the liberty to your creative side which you can use to bring your creativity to life.

5.Battery

The Mi 11 packs in a very powerful 4,600 mAh battery that means one can expect to go through full day on a single charge. Coming to charging capabilities, it comes with the support of 55W MiTurbo Charge in wired charging, which can go zero to full in 45 minutes, and surprisingly, it has 50W MiTurbo fast charging even in wireless charging, which is fastest across the market. Going by latest flagship trend, it supports 10W reverse charging.

6.Some Special Features

We all know about the heart rate sensor in smart bands, but now that has come straight into the phone, well yes, Mi 11 has in-display heart rate sensor. The other feature is that the sound is powered by Harman Kardon.
